It's good to see you back involved in this organization that you helped start, Robert. I'd say the same for Wanda, but she has been involved the whole time. First as board member and president, then for several years as treasurer, and now back to president. Not a shot at you, Robert, but Wanda didn't let little things like running two or three businesses, law school, building a family, and adding a law practice to the mix, stop her.
Jay has also served as board member and president, and then as treasurer, and Jay, I hope to see you get back into a leadership position in the organization that you, too, helped to create. I also look forward to the day when the folks who have been sitting on the sidelines will finally step forward to sacrifice some time and energy to make the association as influential as it ought to be. Next year, the conference will be in Chicago. Should be an easy drive for you.
This year's conference had the best lineup of speakers that I have had the pleasure of witnessing, since I began attending them in 2006. Abstractors in the Columbus area who didn't attend missed some excellent speakers, who informed and entertained even the out-of staters among us.
Excellent conference, and thanks to retiring vice-president Doug Gallant for putting it together. Thanks, also, to outgoing NALTEA president Jill Kissell, for running the show over the past year, and to the others who work day to day to keep it together.
