This is absolutely no big deal.  I have a couple of clients that want that.  It is merely a way for them to know if your insurance is ever canceled.  It'll take your insurance company just a few minutes to add the client as a "certificate holder" (which sounds so ominous!).  It is a "don't worry about it and give them what they want" sort of thing.  Your insurance carrier can also explain it to you.
