AAAAAnd you just described our current government. To say they didn't know what was going on is simply ignorant.  I sure wouldn't want to put any blame on the folks signing the paper knowing there was no way they could pay that loan off. Where was there integrity or ethics? Of course the banks went nuts with it, no one was stopping them. That's how our government works now, pointing the finger at everyone else...like they're actually for the people. Especially this current administration. It's like telling a gambler to keep on going because he's got an "endless" supply of money. Why? Because it's someone else's money. Washington doesn't give a crap because it's not really "their" money, so spend it like drunken sailors...Oh, wait, where have I heard that before. Maybe the last time this country had a REAL leader.
