First you must be new to the business of abstracting.. Welcome.  However, you will be out of business if you do business your way.. and No, this is not the reason our work is going overseas... the real reason is our government gave permission to the banks to take their business overseas just like any other or every other business that is leaving the US... yes it's cheaper, yes, it not locally controlled and why do you think this is happening... that's right.. in case of catastrophe.. we are ramping up according to some for WW3, the fall of the dollar, you name the reason... and they did it to protect their records... we aren't the same US like it was even 10 years ago.  My insurance last year changed and said you will have copies of everything you show on hand.. it reduced our insurance 23%.. and yes we have lost client over this.. but I totally understood the insurance co, we can't go from chicken scratching (abstractor's handwritten work, that most of the time we can't read), without something to back it up under our insurance.
