I charge what the county does and the cost just went up  to 50 cents state wide.  That price still does not cover the cost of my paper, toner and time it takes when they are requesting full copies of everything. Some of the counties older imaging is very dark, and it doesn't take long for my supplies to be eaten up. I have actually had a client tell me to charge $1 per page to compensate for either travel time or my office expense. They had been on the abstractor side of the business and know how much can come out of pocket, and were very much aware that what we are being forced to charge in title work is unfair and out dated.
