Anyone can be sued for any reason. That also falls under "Freedom of Speech." It happens every day. As an ex-legal secretary, I can assure you, the common man or woman on the street would rule more than half the lawsuits filed as frivolous. If you blast a client on line, and you've got a client that is petty and vengeful (and has an in-house lawyer -- or is a lawyer themselves), they could very easily file a suit for liable based on what was posted and force you to cough up money to defend your position.
That is precisely what happened with Abstractor Watchdog. The owner of AW was threatened and a company tried to strong-arm him into giving over the name of one of the anonymous posters. "Doing something wrong" is a non sequitur in this regard. You can do everything RIGHT and still be afraid of our current legal system (and government...and IRS!)
This whole thing started with you commenting on a response that Nils made. The information you needed was already on SOT. A lot of it. Over many years. Pointing you in that direction was not being obstructionist -- it was telling you that your answers are already on here, you just have to look for them. You seem very angry and aggressive and I don't understand why that is.
