Title companies are always asking us to lower prices, include more services, include things for free, etc. This is in spite of massive inflation and the fact that THEIR fees have certainly not come down over the years. We have to stand our ground when providing services that they can't just offshore, because if they could offshore them, they probably already would be doing so. The title companies have to learn that they can't operate without the services that onshore searchers provide and just need to adapt to the fact that those services will cost actual money.

In short, don't cave to pressure and don't believe empty promises about "getting more work" if you can reduce fees. Get the company to put real numbers on paper or no deal.
