I just thought that I would chime in here, we do not ever have an issue with paying copy costs, all that we ask is that if the copies are going to be over $30.00 that our office be contacted for approval. 99.99 percent of the time those fees are approved next to immediately. There are times when the fees are excessive $80.00-$100.00 or more that we ask for the order to be put on hold so that we can go back to our client for a fee increase because just as you do not want to pay for copies that that cost more than the actual search, neither do we and there are times that the client will come back and cancel the order which is then cancelled with you, so you see the order is not being reassigned to another vendor (copy costs are copy costs, the second vendor would charge the same amount) it is being cancelled by the client.
