I am the abstractor (and vendor manager) for whom Boxi was written. I am a partner in the company -- a company that includes myself, the IT AlphaUberGeek that built the junior version software 10 years ago that runs Argent, and Tom Pryde, a recent inhabitant of the heady heights of Silicon Valley involved in many aspects of the computer industry including integration.
Tom saw the program that ran Argent and through a personal friendship with Josh, the programmer, saw a niche market that definitely needs filling. We saw all this software out there for title companies, but nothing for abstractors -- a group of highly independent people with technology know-how ranging the gamut from still using faxes as the primary way of communicating to those utilizing a wide variety of technology resources.
As part of this particular post, it's great to have all these various resources to save your data -- but how do you easily FIND the data a year from now? Two years? The software we're bringing to market not only stores it, but makes it searchable in a variety of ways and then presents it with your data (name, address, reference number(s), county, date range -- the list goes on) in ONE PLACE so all you have to do is click on it and you've got your search in front of you.
Finally, this software is inexpensive. REALLY inexpensive. And flexible. REALLY flexible. (And how would you like to have all of your invoicing completed for the month within minutes?)
