How can you keep coming back with the same "not so bright" mind set, with all these title proffessionals telling you your wrong? The fee for copies is for the service of retrieving them and putting up money for them that is the copy fee. The counties I work in charge even more then we do if you require the county personal to get the copies for you. 

I think the reason why companies are asking for receipts of copies is; The new laws are requiring it to be broken down on closing cost sheets but only that the search fee be 1 line item and copy fee another line item. Some companies are misunderstanding this and saying they need the county reciept for copies they do not just a receipt from the source they got the copies from in this case the abstractor and you need to have a separate line item for copy fee (fee is the labor to get it).  

I still am in awe of how your mind can not understand something so simple if your a lawyer I feel bad for the people whom have to interact with you. Your preception of things is way off.
