Beverly, SOMEDAY.......hopefully we will not see a post on here that you got shafted when they
filed BK and left you holding the "empty" bag for several months of work.
Glad you need the work so bad you are willing to take the chance.
Why not request them to make a "retainer deposit" with you for about a months worth of
searches, so you have some protection. Would a landlord rent you a house if he knew he
had to wait for the rent every month, and if your husband/child got sick or died, and you had those expenses, you would not never be able to pay him? Why do think attys. such as Robert and
most others collect a retainer fee before they ever take a case on? They DO NOT WANT TO
WORK FOR NOTHING.
