We tried this method Bo back when Home Focus was requiring full copies of all documents and requested we include the copies in the search fee. It increased their cost and our profit margin but Home Focus didn't mind the higher price for a fixed cost model over variable copy costs that were unknown.

Most of our other clients balked at paying the higher fee which included copies they did not need. I haven't had a request for copies included in the search fee in many years but I would be happy to comply as long as my clients understand it will cost them more when the true cost of copies is buried in the search fee.
