Very good points Catherine on why requiring receipts from court houses is impractical and unnecessary burden to true courthouse level abstractors. For abstractors who cannot visit the courthouse it isn't just impractical - it is impossible.
Companies that use in-house abstractors, foreign outsourcers and database subscription sites are not able to provide a receipt from the courthouse, certified copies or any guarantee of accuracy, timeliness or suitability for legal research that goes beyond the TOS and disclaimers of their source.
