Since the post, I DID get a reply:

"At that time, you can either choose to accept or decline the assignment. The fee will be minimal, less than $1.00

We do not want to lose any of our vendors, and would like for you to reconsider accepting work from SBS. We feel that the benefits of the new system outweigh the technology fee. If you would still consider registering with Exatech, there is no fee to do so. Then, when you receive an individual assignment, you will see the associated technology fee. At that time, you can either choose to accept or decline the assignment – on a case by case basis.

You have the right at any time make changes to your fees at any time and can send us your updated fees."

This does not address the issue of giving them a credit card number which I will NOT do.  NONE OF US SHOULD BE GIVING OUT CREDIT CARD INFO TO A SERVICE THAT IS RUNNING OUT O INDIA.  I don't care how "secure" Exatech is.  No way am I giving them my company's credit card number under any circumstances.

Maybe they have a good idea, tho.  Next time I take my car in for repair, I'll tell him I must charge him a fee to give him the work.....
