Thank you for your insight, and yes, "preference" is preferable to one-size-fits-all to many of us... and your suggestion.  I'm not in the process of purchasing any of these software, rather, I'm a software developer, who has developed some customized software such as title reports (for abstractors / title searchers (researchers), and recently title commitment as well.

I would think three things are critically important to people in this industry when it comes to software, a) does it solve problem(s) for me or my business?  b) is easy to use?  c) is it affordable?  Then, another element of customer support as well.
