I work at String (in the Bethesda office) and can confirm that we're a legit company that's expanding its onshore/US presence quickly and thoughtfully. I'm the Operations Team Lead of the onshore processors and there's also offices in India (in the city of Chennai in the state of Tamil Nadu, which is southern India on the coast, if you're curious).
We're currently looking for abstractors in many different parts of the country and they will be mainly dealing with me or a co-Team Lead in the Bethesda, MD office although there may be some contact with the India offices.
I've been involved in the title industry since 2004 or so (and have probably examined a lot of the abstracts produced by the members of this board) since I was employed by one of the behemoth title companies for nine years. Any guesses which one?!
