I do not disagree with any if your thoughts. The problem is that there is no enforcement and no money to hire folks to enforce. Even the CFPB is self funded. This means they get no money from congress. Their only source of revenue is from winning lawsuits and because of this costs, they only have time to go after 1 or 2 companies per year for million dollar payouts. They just do not have the staff or funding to make a real difference.
