I am in agreement with you! I haven’t raised my rates ever, I have been doing this since 1993. The biggest problem we have is India! I have lost a really big client that I already lowered my rates for current owner searches to $40 because the amount of work they were sending. They told me I could continue working with them if I could lower my rates to $7. I said no thank you!
How can we stop work from going overseas? There has to be a way to do it! I refuse to get copies for any company that I see has an India address. If abstractors would stop getting their judgment copies for them, they would be out of work!
