Larry,  I think you over-estimate many who are looking for new business in abstracting.

Easier to do the search, not get paid, or paid less than agreed upon, then post on here about

the company that stiffed them instead of following your great plan.  Very easy for the "scum

companies" to remain in business under the way it is done now.

Wish I could go into a fast food business, place my order, eat the food items, then tell the manager "sorry I didn't bring my money, or I don't pay for fries with my meal, only the sandwich".*

Bet they would call the cops before I could finish my shake. 

* Like getting paid for the search, but not all the copies ordered.
