Just think, reading the article reminds me that people who entered the country illegally, probably committed FRAUD on their application to become a U.S. Public Official Notary and are "closing" mortgage loans and notarizing those documents. For the lenders to worry and litigation attorneys to ponder with glee: If the person who notarized the mortgage loan documents is in the U.S. illegally and may, if it turns out under the law, have committed fraud in obtaining a notary public commission, are all the notarizations s/he performed invalid? Was the notary a "certified signing agent," and, if so, how secure and valid is that certification? Did the certifying organization KNOW the person was in the country illegally or did not not bother to check?
Just pondering the possibilities. Small vent: My family went through the expense, paperwork and years waiting (quota system for those LEGALLY entering the U.S.) to get here and most went on to become U.S. citizens. You are either here legally or illegally. My family does not believe in "undocumented"; i.e., you are here illegally.
Hope the person scheduled for deportation wasn't notarizing loan documents.
