I don't know about any law but I know someone who asked this same question to employees in Erie County and now they are presently taking pictures of docs off computer with their cell phone.  I guess it was one employee who remarked to person A that they weren't allowed to do this because of privacy, but as it turns out the records are public.  Person A questioned if there was a law about this, and so far, an employee at the Courthouse hasn't found one.
