I don't know about an average rate. Our commercial and agricultural searches start at $250 depending on the county and number of years required. Our most popular commercial full search is for 40 years but  some of our clients need the full 60. Some only need 20-30 years. We cover some of the most rural, least-populated counties in the country so we always physically visit the courthouse to complete the search.
