I was employed by a law firm for several years - and now I'm an independent abstractor, so I have a couple "CAN YOU AS AN ABSTRACTOR QUESTIONS" ...
Many times in the deed room, the general public comes in lost, confused and doesn't how to find what they need. When its time consuming the employees in the ROD really can't help either. As an abstractor - Can you offer your research assistant services (for a fee) to the general public? If they just need some research help - and don't necessarily need a title search - is there any reason why I can't help with that? I wouldn't mind doing this - especially when I don't have work. Just wanted to find out if there was any reason I couldn't ??
Also, people come in needing help with Genealogy. Is there any reason I can't help with that too?
Thanks in advance from the newbie!
