Robert beat me to the punch. I believe the NALTEA Certification will reward the experienced abstractor. It will be a "true certification" that takes it to the next higher level.
Though the Education committee, all volunteers (thanks guys and ladies), are still working on it and I believe you will be pleased with what they come up with. NALTEA will ask for E and O insurance, 3-5 years experience, and then a written test. How can that not but help the experience abstractor to have that kind of notation.
Continuing education is a must for any profession including ours. Whether they get it from their state's land title association, community college, or NALTEA, I believe there is always something new to learn in our industry.
I hope everyone can give the hard working volunteers a fair review of the NALTEA certification process once it becomes finalized and view it as something to aspire to.
