Robert,
Here in Indiana, there is a such list called the "Angie List". This company was established by an individual who was tired of receiving bad services. This list contains the companies performances submitted by consumer who have received good services. Also, they have those companies whose services are awful.
In this directory the consumer submits feedback about the services they received. Also is a reference for those consumers who wishes to hire the services for that particular company.
Per my attorney advised theres nothing wrong to have a service like this, where abstractors can submit feedback about a prospect company an abstractor have worked for. It would be a reference guide for those who wishes to apply as a vendor for that particular company. It will give them an opportunity to leave feedback about the clients performances and history payments they have experienced.
Now when it comes to leave a negative feedback they have to show proof of show claim. Once the proof is verified than the abstractor can submit their negative feedback against the particular company. Than the company would have up to 30 days to submit their resolution to the directory list. Once the claim is resolved the negative feedback is retrieved. Is up to the title company to provide excellent services to the abstractor when it comes to payment history.
Now, the title companies would have the same change to submit feedback about a particular abstractor performance.
So, since I have consulted an attorney and I have an attorney in my staff, I feel confident enough that such Directory list will be beneficial to the abstractors nationwide.
What does everyone think? Please e-mail me with your input.
Angelica
