Kevin, I think law school has caused a "can't see the forrest through the trees" outlook for this particular issue. Sure, everything you say about the overall outsourcing problem is true, but this forum is only concerned with Title searches and related issues. As I said, there is no need to contact your United States Sentators and Reps in Washington whom nobody without tons of dough even knwos, but contact your local state Senators and Reps. The issue here is in local county courthouses. The feds do not have jurisdiction in our county courthouses. I understand we can't stop the information from being publically available and obviously would not want to but why can't the public go to the courthouse and look up the information? I do not think the freedom of information act has anything to do with someone from India having the right to look up my Title informationover the internet. Of course I am not a lawyer, thank God, and maybe the lawyers can make things worse as usual, but I really do not see how the internet can be a right.
