I don't think they can do it effectively or safely. There was a post on here earlier concerning zenodata. I looked up their site and found they were looking for "local experts" to handle what their offshore outsourcing couldn't. Now isn't that nice?
It is even more frustrating to know that it is our taxpayer dollars that are being sold off. The records we mine for information are a national treasure that was paid for by our parents, grandparents and greatgrandparents. It was meant to be public to the American people not to anyone from anywhere with an internet connection. These are our records people! American records on American property and people.
There are already privacy suits in courts across the country and most states are seeking ways to redact things like SS #'s, Driver's licenses and Dates of Birth from the public record. Can you imagine the treasure chest of information the Nigerian scam artists are able to derive from our public records they find imaged on the internet? Do a search on yourself at your local court house. Will you find your assets there? Your debts? The unsubstantiated claims of ex-wives or husbands? The names and birthdays of your children? Does anyone feel secure with this personal information being published to the world? I don't think most citizens know their records may even now be being read by someone in India, North Koria, Pakistan, China, Nigeria or the stalker next door.
