Both you and Jay raise very good points, and offer viable alternatives. Ownership of the LLC is a key concern. It assures the participating searchers a stake in the assignment of work, and a right to insist on equality of treatment therein. I like yours and Jay's idea of having NALTEA act as the marketing wing of the LLC. Jay has a good point in that continued funding of the marketing effort could be acchieved in part or in full through NALTEA membership fees. The problem I foresee is that NALTEA membership in itself may not be large enough to raise the continued funding for the marketing, and there are those out there on SOT who prefer to remain independent. I do think you have an execellent point in having the assigment of work remain with the LLC with NALTEA perfoming the marketing function. Why not explore a combination of yours and Jay's ideas?
In so far as the multitude of opinions is concerned, I think that is good, and should be welcomed.
There may be some people out there with some ideas that we have not considered yet
