Hi Donna, Appreciate your input. To do witness signings you will need to get a notary public's commission. This is usually very inexpensive. Your state government will issue the commission to you after you have paid the filing fee. In some state's you are required to take a short test. It is very easy. Check with your state's Secretary of State's office. If that is not the correct agency, then they can point you in the right direction. After you have received your commission, you can register as a notary with signing services and title companies. There is a website called "The Notary Board" that is excellent. If you have any questions on anything that confuses you, you can get an answer there. It works pretty much the way SOT works. In so far as practical experience is concerned, you may want to spend some time with notaries in your area, and sit through a few closings with them. You may have to pay them a small instruction fee, but that is the price of an education
