Correct me if I am wrong, but it sounds like the attorneys can only do the search themselves, or use a paralegal on staff with their office (who would be under their direct supervision). This makes is sound like there is no allowance for any independent searcher.
You say that you will be able to work with an attorney, but to me this is contradicting the "under direct supervision" provision. What would happen if you would hire someone to help you, then that person would be further removed from the attorney; at that point, the attorney could no longer send you work? I just don't understand.
Might want to find a good law school in NC.
