Hello Shannon,
I would be happy to help out with state-specific test questions. I did post some possibilities for Illinois questions a while back in an effort to be helpful. Maybe they were not the type you were looking for.
If you would like to email some of your general test questions to me, I could provide Illinois-specific answers or indicate that the question would not apply in Illinois. You could then send my answers to another Illinois abstractor or two for verification. Repeat this process in the rest of the states and you have your state-specific test.
It has occured to me that NALTEA, being an organization for title examiners as well as abstractors, would be hard pressed to offer a single test that would apply to both. In my view of the industry, correct me if I'm wrong, an abstractor constructs a title search while a title examiner uses that search to construct a title commitment and, later, a policy. A test for examiners might be more weighted toward RESPA and title insurance issues. My take may be a little bit simplistic, I don't know.
My apologies if I just made your job impossible.
