Its an interesting idea, but I do not think that there is enough organization and cohesion among the abstractors to make it work. Smaller operations are struggling to stay in business in a time when clients are imposing lower fees and reducing volume. Clients will cancel abstractors who are unable to fill orders while participating, and the low end inexperienced and uninsured abstractors will be only to happy to jump in to scoop up the business for reduced rates. We may have already reached a time when the cost of the search and the speed of its turn around are of greater importance than the accuracy of the search.
