Why is this individual not putting a claim in with her hazzard insurer to rebuild her home, filing for unemployment compensation (if she was not self employed), applying to FEMA for her $2,000 debit card,  and applying for temporary employment while rebuilding both her home and her life.  I think that many need help in getting back on there feet, but I have to agree with Jay that there is a wide open opportunity for scam artists. We had this problem after the 911 crisis.
