You are considered a backup or third option for this company in those counties. They sent the order to the supplier they normally use and found out at the last minute that company is backed up or did not receive the order. They are now desperate to get the order done because they did not realize until the last minute that they did not get their search done. I would agree with David and double your price in those counties, and politely call those companies and let them know that it is not profitable for you to cover those counties at your normal prices. And possibly say if you can give me more business in those counties I can cover them more often. Or if you’re a nice person refer the work to a friend in those counties.
