Please stop trying to put me on the defensive by mischaracterizing my position. Despite my best efforts, you have obviously missed the point of what David and I are talking about, and I certainly don't need you to "show me the light".
The fact of the matter is that the technology is here to stay, for better or worse. As I indicated before, I'm all for progress, but there needs to be a better set of safeguards in place to protect against information predators and the potential for lost data. At no time have I tried to convince anyone to take the "giant leap backward".
As to your question of what I plan to do when my counties make the change, the answer is that many already have, and some of the county recorders have sought input from me, as well as from other searchers when considering the ramifications of such progress. The conditions of which I wrote are a golden example of what happens when hard-headed individuals refuse to accept such input.
But, then again, why should they listen to a "hold out from the old days that just don't want to give in"?
