Lawanda: I was in your current situation about 20 yrs ago, and burned a lot of money trying to find the "right" software that would work with my title plant needs. The problem with off the shelf data base programs is that they are geared toward what would be a regular application, and as we all know- we are not a normal application- there are just too many "what if's" that occur in the process of title examination . It is almost impossible to cover all the possibilities that we encounter, but we can narrow it down to some of the most applicable fields or options. After trying some unknown data base programs, and a number of well know ones- none of which were the right fit- I settled on Microsoft Works- which comes with most computers anymore, and if you don't have it- it is available for about $50 - I have used it since 1989 and now have over 10,000 subdivisions that cover the 14 counties that I have done work in over the years. This program has many applications so you just have to start with the "works data base" and create the fields you want to enter- this is more complicated than there is room for me to type- just call me and I'll be glad to assist you in this, better yet- e-mail me a copy of your front sheet and I will get you started- add anything else on your front sheet that you might want to include and I'll do what I can.
Hope to hear from you soon.
