MOST of my clients -- large and small -- ask for a copy of my E&O (which is for $1 million because I am the point person for a network of abstractors. Since the orders come in to me, any mistake that is made will rest on the shoulders of my E&O first even tho the individual, independent abstractors ALSO carry E&O).
E&O will help you rest better at night, yes, but I strongly urge everyone to become an LLC. It is inexpensive and easy (in most states). It will protect your personal assets. Even tho it costs more, I'd check with a lawyer. They can do it for you and explain what an LLC can and cannot do.
