What you say is true. However, the slow times and ability of slow paying clients to find other abstractors are all the more reason to stick to a strict policy of net 30 day payment. Carrying a slow pay/no pay client is nothing less than allowing a client to gamble with your money with your money, and allowing the client to make its problems your problems. Most clients are very insistent about a timely return of the abstract with 24 to 48 hours. They should have no problem understanding that the abstractor requires payment within 30 days.
