I have been a notary signing agent for the passed five years and have conducted roughly 1500 closings of all types. Due to the high number of deadbeat and defunct title companies and signing services, I will no longer work "on spec." I must either be put on the HUD or paid via PayPal immediately after the closing (before the docs are returned, proof of closing completion will be provided). I accept credit cards, e-checks or regular PayPal payments. I would also be happy to accept payment directly from the borrower with a local check or credit card at the time of closing. Paying via PayPal can have a number of benefits for the title company. I encourage you to check them out.
