Actually, I didn't take negotiable instruments (Capital calls it Payment Systems).  I know its a bar course, but I heard it was pretty easy to pick up from the bar review course.  I did buy a hornbook which I have just started to read. 

I skipped a few bar courses so I could take some other classes I was interested in... mainly tax, estate planning, and bankruptcy courses.  There just isn't enough time to take all of the bar courses and those you really have an interest in.  There are a lot more classes I want to take; maybe I will get the chance when I go back for my LL.M.
