Our office is having problems gettng paid again from Global Data. We did receive one check in January for work completed in November and December, 2008. Now they owe us for work completed in January, February and March. We received an order from them last Thursday, 03/19/2009, and I advised them that we could not provide any additional services until the account was brought current. I was told checks were cut 03/06/2009 for work completed in January, but their CFO had to review the payments before checks could be mailed. To date, no check has been received. Andrew is a nice guy and makes a good sales pitch for his company, but business is business. I have been informed by his accounting rep. that their standard mode of payment to vendors is 6-8 weeks. If that payment plan is acceptable to any examiner, go ahead and do their work. If you have to pay your staff and any other bills you have sooner than 6-8 weeks you may want to think twice about providing title services to Global Data.
