I don't know if I would call anyone my Messiah...religious or political. However. I do welcome a change to the past eight years.
With respect to shifting blame. The current administration has not been in office long enough to require that. On the other hand that is exactly what you are attempting to do with the clinton administration. Your man, Bush, was in the driver seat for the past eight years. If he perceived their to be problems from the prior administration he should have done something to alleviate the problem...Can't seem to recall anything. With all his blustering about keeping government out of the free market it was he that had to come to the American public with his hat in hand in repeated pleas for the TARP funds in October, 2008. It was also his administration that doled out these funds to AIG, etc without any accountability. I also seem to remember news clips on CNN from his speeches in the last two years in which he assured everyone that all was well with the economy.Can you say problem with his administration? I knew that you could.
Shot down?.... Hmmm. there has only been a Democratic majority in Congress for the last two years of his administration. Before that he had a Republican majority ready to rubber stamp his proposals.
