Yeah, it kinda was liberals (or progressives, as they now like to be called) who did all that stuff. Just because someone has an “R” beside his/her name doesn’t mean they’re conservative. I’m also on record as being sharply critical of the previous administration for the budget mess we found ourselves in a few years back.
To paraphrase Chris Wallace, I realize that facts are inconvenient things, but I am aware of no one who has suggested “getting rid of all environmental protection laws”, as you so eloquently put it. And I’M the one engaging in propaganda and scare tactics? I want clean air and water as much as anyone, and if you’ve read any of my blogs you know that I favor holding operators accountable for the environmental damage they cause. All I’m saying is that regulatory oversight is best handled at the state level and not federal.
Furthermore, the tax breaks you speak of are available to any corporation, not just the “big oil” companies (you know, those evil profiteers who make it possible for you to get to work, heat your home and run your business). I may be wearing the tinfoil hat, but at least I'm not wearing government-issued blinders.
But, of course, you’d rather crucify people who disagree with you…no, wait. That’s the EPA’s job.
Regards,
Scott Perry
