Increasing Your Business by Increasing Your Speed
by Kristine Bjorge | 2011/06/13 |

How does speed in delivering your service relate to the quality of the services you provide? How does speed and quality affect your bottom line?

Timely Document's Blog ::

The financial prosperity of an abstractor business (or any business for that matter) is directly proportional to speed in which it handles inquiries, letters/emails from clients, customers, etc.

To really grow financially, services delivered must be as close to instant as possible.

Anything that stops or slows the speed of a business or delays or puts a client or service on hold is that thing that is preventing your company from becoming financially strong.

Good management of a business is locating any slows or delays and handling them to increase the speed in all areas of a business and to increase the speed of the services provided to clients.

Speed of abstracting services provided is of equal importance to quality of abstracting services provided. They must be given equal importance.

Only then can an abstractor prosper as clients will be happy and will tell others about the abstractors speed and quality of service, which will then equal an increase of work coming the abstractors way.

So true!

I swear I just read almost that exact same information somewhere else recently. Are you published?

Speed v quality

In my experience, my services are of the highest quality when I take my time in research.  Due diligence demands that I do not produce a report unless and until I've reviewed each and every matter with a clear head, with comprehensive review of the public record, and with added bonus materials that I specialize in adding appropriately for the client.

India firms specialize in 15 minute turn-around and predictable quality.

The five primary element of any project are indeed (in no particular order or priority):

reliability, simplicity, low cost, speed, and suitability.

While speed is indeed an critical component to success in an endeavor, it must be weighted against other elements and may not be the most important of those.  I've found that a lack of speed but with great reliability (accuracy) is far more important to preserving the solvency of my company by protecting against claims than the other way around.  Those outsourcing to India certainly will disagree until they are blue in the face and out of business, but there's no accounting for stupidity.

Use wisdom in business and temper your choice for speed against other elements and you'll have greater long term success than those fly-by-night firms offshore.

Hope it helped!

I agree with William - Quality is absolutely vital and must be maintained at the highest levels, but if you can do this and work to increase your speed at the same time (which does take work) you become that much more valuable to your clients and as a result will ensure repeat business and referral business as well.

Speed of service is a simple maxim and coupled with quality of service (both given equal importance) it has helped our company grow.

I felt I should share it with others in the abstracting and data research fields and I hope it helped you!
