Terrie Miller has been awarded a National Title Professional (NTP) designation from the American Land Title Association (ALTA), the national trade association of the land title insurance industry. Miller joins more than 50 other industry leaders from around the United States who have earned the professional designation.
The designation recognizes land title professionals who demonstrate the knowledge, experience and dedication essential to the safe and efficient transfer of real property.*
“I appreciate Terrie’s dedication and enthusiasm for the land title insurance industry,” said ALTA President John M. Hollenbeck NTP. ”Terrie’s commitment to education combined with her work ethic make her a much-deserved recipient of a National Title Professional designation. I encourage other Illinois land title insurance professionals to follow Terrie’s lead and apply for this designation.”
Miller joined H.B. Wilkinson Company in Mt. Carroll, Ill., in 1989 and is currently chief operations officer.
Designated an Illinois Title Professional and Illinois Escrow Professional, Miller is active within the Illinois Land Title Association (ILTA) and ALTA membership and real property records committees.
One of Miller’s fondest memories from her time in the land title industry includes her vocal performance of the national anthem during the 2012 ALTA Annual Convention in Colorado Springs, Colo.
Miller is the fourth NTP designee from Illinois. A full directory of National Title Professionals is available here.
The designation has several elements, including industry and compliance prerequisites and training requirements. To apply for the NTP designation and for more information, please visit ALTA's NTP website.
