Ranochak, Mendocino County (CA) Assessor-County Clerk-Recorder reported last week that it has come to the attention of the Assessor-County Clerk-Recorder’s office that a company by the name of “STATE RECORD RETRIEVAL BOARD” has sent a mailing to property owners in Mendocino County indicating that, for a fee of $87.00, they will provide the property owner a copy of their Grant Deed and a Property Profile.

The purpose of this press release is to inform property owners that the “State Record Retrieval Board” is providing a service that can be obtained from the Mendocino County Clerk Recorder’s office for significantly less money. Property Owners can obtain a copy of their Grant Deed in the Mendocino County Clerk Recorder’s office for $2.50 for the first page and .50 for each additional page. The Property Profile mentioned in the letter can be obtained from the
County Assessor’s office for no charge to the property owner.
