The International Consortium of Real Estate Associations (ICREA), a global alliance of real estate associations, and SecondSpace, a leading online marketplace for second homes and recreational retreats, recently formed a multi-year technology and marketing partnership.
"Globalization has had an immediate and powerful impact on real estate markets, attracting the attention of real estate professionals worldwide," said Thijs Stoffer, ICREA's chief-executive-officer. "Many practitioners with a local focus are looking to expand their businesses into the international sphere, and are turning to their real estate associations for advice and assistance. Our partnership with SecondSpace gives our members representing resort developers access to millions of potential buyers from around the world who are in search of their dream second home and provide a comprehensive Internet marketing offering to showcase properties across the Web."
The partnership will provide international resort developers with unprecedented access to global real estate professionals and consumers to market their developments. ICREA will provide access to its 2.5 million agent members from 30 countries while SecondSpace will provide exposure to millions of buyers from around the world through its flagship sites, ResortScape.com, LandWatch.com as well as its network of more than 50 international and co-branded online properties sites. In the first phase of the partnership, SecondSpace will power the next generation of ICREA's Global New Homes & Resorts (GNHR) portal at www.worldproperties.com.
"For just over six years, ICREA has established itself as the most comprehensive resource for agents, brokers and developers from around the world," said Satbir Khanuja, the president and chief-executive of SecondSpace. "By providing ICREA with access to our global distribution and technology platform, we will enable its members from more than 30 countries to reach new buyers from around the globe."
