In an effort to unify its businesses under the same name, United Title Company, a subsidiary of LandAmerica Financial Group, is now conducting business as LandAmerica Title Company. The change became effective on October 1, 2008.

This change is another step in LandAmerica's transformation of its collection of independent businesses into an integrated and unified operating company. Not only does the change further unify its businesses under the LandAmerica name, the decision also reflects the company's success in the marketplace and the growing recognition of LandAmerica's brand in Southern California and throughout the U.S. LandAmerica is the sole real estate transaction services company to have been ranked number one in the mortgage services industry for two years in a row on Fortune's list of Most Admired Companies.
